30. Leading as a way of life - with Len Rothman
Monday Jun 03, 2024
Monday Jun 03, 2024
In the latest episode of our podcast, I had the pleasure of speaking with Len Rothman, an executive coach renowned for his work with leaders and large organizations. We delved into the concept of flow state and its critical role in collaborative environments such as boardrooms and negotiations. Len emphasized how achieving a state of flow can enhance the flow of energy among team members, leading to more productive and harmonious interactions.
We explored the importance of everyone being on the same page, and how swift resolutions between individuals are possible when people feel genuinely heard and understood. Len shared insights on how creating an environment where everyone’s voice is valued can significantly accelerate decision-making and problem-solving processes.
Furthermore, we discussed the perpetual flow cycle we all experience, often unknowingly. Len provided valuable tips on recognizing where we are within this cycle, which can help us better navigate our professional and personal interactions. This conversation shed light on the power of flow and the transformative impact it can have on leadership and organizational dynamics.

27. Interpretation of language colours our connections with Paulo Machado
Tuesday May 07, 2024
Tuesday May 07, 2024
We spend majority of our time communicating with others through the use of language - be it written or vocal. However, we don’t often stop to consider how others may interpret the words we use. Especially in the age of internet and online video meetings, where non-verbal cues are significantly reduced and all we have are the words - the tone of voice is the last aspect that remains, that has a chance to align two people in a conversation. Without it - two sides may not be even hearing each other for all the noise of their limiting beliefs, assumptions, confirmation bias, prejudice, fears and everything else that comes part of our human experience.
Join me in this episode as I discuss this and many other topics with guest Paulo Machado, who describes himself as a “world citizen” and has lived a full and colourful life and discovered many things in the areas of career, parenting, entrepreneurship and personal development.

We all have a Hero inside
Our reluctance to connect with our authentic Self can sometimes keeps our inner hero hidden, and as a result we deprive the world of the gift our hero has to offer. It is not about saving others, like Superman, but rather inspiring and leading the change through the process of personal transformation.
Join me in this discussion to discover the multitude of experiences that can inspire you to change yourself for the better.
